The Soviet (now Russian) global model SIM/GDP was developed at the Institute for Systems Analysis in Moscow in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is of particular interest because it is one of only a few integrated global models not developed in North America, Western Europe, or Australia. An extensive description of SIM/GDP is available to the interested reader, who can retrieve it by clicking here. A shorter, published article describing the model has the following citation:
Peter Brecke, "The Soviet Global Model: SIM/GDP," Simulation & Gaming, Vol. 26, No. 1 (March 1995), pp. 17-26.
An extensive bibliography of the SIM/GDP modeling project is also available to the interested reader, who can retrieve it by clicking here.
