Research Focus
International relations theory, transatlantic security issues, the European Union. Dr. Weber is the author of Hierarchy Amidst Anarchy: Transaction Costs and Institutional Choice, co-author of Cultures of Order: Leadership, Language, and Social Reconstruction in Germany and Japan, co-editor of Governing Europes Neighborhood: Partners or Periphery?, and author of various articles. She is president of the Society for Women in International Political Economy and a reviewer for several presses and journals. She has received grants from the SSRC Berlin Program for Advanced German and European Studies, the Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation/Ford Foundation, the American Political Science Foundation and the European Commission.
