Research Focus
East Asian security affairs, including nuclear nonproliferation, Japanese studies, American defense policy, and professional military education. Dr. Endicott is the author of numerous books, articles, and research reports on East Asian affairs, Japanese foreign and defense policy, and American defense policy. Before joining the faculty at Georgia Tech in 1989, he served as Director of the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. He is the recipient of a major grant from the W. Alton Jones Foundation to investigate prospects for a nuclear free zone in Northeast Asia. Among his professional memberships are the Asia Society and the Association for Asian Studies. He is co-chair of the Council for U.S.-Japan Security Relations and a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the U.S.-Japan Society of Georgia.
