Research Focus
Ethics and international affairs, international relations theory, global democratic theory and justice debates, and interstate and non-governmental organizations. Dr. Cochran is the author of Normative Theory in International Relations: A Pragmatic Approach and articles in the Review of International Studies, European Journal of International Relations, and Millennium. At present, she is writing a book titled, Democratic Global Governance and International Public Spheres. She is on the editorial board of Contemporary Political Theory and a reviewer for several journals and presses. She recently returned from working at Human Rights Watch in London as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow.
