Permit and Overload Requests
If you need an INTA permit, overload, or duplicate error override, please proceed as follows:
- Go to OSCAR (https://oscar.gatech.edu/)
- Click "Secured Access Login"
- Login with your gtID and Pin
- Choose "Student Services & Financial Aid"
- Choose "Registration"
- Choose "Registration Override Request"
- Choose "International Affairs"
- Click "Continue"
- Select "Permit Type" (Options include duplicate course, prerequisite override, restricted class permit, and time conflict.) You must choose the correct type of permit or you will not be able to register for the class!
- Type your "Reason"
- You will come to a screen with radio buttons. You will only be able to enter one class at a time. Choose the first class you need and then follow the steps again for the additional classes.
The system should e-mail your Tech email account to let you know whether the permit has been granted. Until you receive the e-mail, you can go back on through OSCAR and select "Check Status of Override Request."
We will be restricting all our classes to INTA majors, and your time ticket will determine how early you can be considered for the class. Because time tickets are given based on seniority, priority will still be given to graduating students, graduate students, seniors, juniors, etc.
